The Nunda Herald Thursday March 2, 1905 p. 1 Died, at her home in Nunda, Ill., Sunday, Feb. 26, 1905, Mrs. F.H. Beardsley, after prolonged illness. She was aged 44 years. Emma E. Van Allen was born at Antioch, Ill., Aug. 12, 1860. She was united in marriage to Frank H. Beardsley, Feb. 24, 1881. She leaves her husband, one daughter - Mrs. Ed Rowley, one sister - Mrs. J.L. Conover of Elgin, and two brothers - J.D. Van Allen of Clinton, Iowa, and Frank Van Allen of Nunda. Although a great sufferer for years she was patient, always making light of her afflictions, that those around her might more fully enjoy themselves. She was a true wife and kind mother, and she will be missed by a host of friends for whom she always had a kind word. The funeral services were held from the house at 2 p.m., Tuesday, conducted by Rev. W.B. Doble of the Nunda M.E. church, and the body was given burial in Union cemetery. The church quartet sang, and there were many beautiful floral tributes. A large concourse of friends paid the final mark of love and esteem by attending the services.
