Notes
a. Note:   David and Margaret were first cousins. The Dryer book simply lists this man as the husband of Margrett (sic).
This man was a Justice of the Peace on April 30, 1795 when he performed a marriage between Seth Luther of Swanzey and Elizabeth Mason of Attleborough.
David is on the list of men that enlisted for 8 months under Capt. Samuel Bliss in Col. Timothy Walker's Company from April and May 1775. ["Vital Records of Rehoboth 1642 -1896" by James N. Arnold, 1896, p. 922]
David became prominent in the government affairs of Rehoboth. He was often called "Esquire" meaning that he was a lawyer. For example, he was one of six people who collected taxes and was called a constable. In 1805 he was a Rehoboth representative to the General County of Massachusetts. [Phil McCracken, 4016 W.
