Notes
a. Note:   "JOHN PECK was born in England, and came over to this country with his father, in 1638, being then about eleven years of age.
He moved with the family from Hingham, Mass., to Seekonk, in 1615. He settled in the southeast part of Seekonk, near what is now known as Luther's Corners. He was accepted as a freeman of the town in 1658, and drew his proportion in the meadows on the north side of the town. He was chosen one of the townsmen in 1680, and representative to the General Court of Massachusetts in 1700. He died in 1713. The inventory of his property was presented to the court, October 1713. His will is recorded upon the Records at Taunton, Mass., B. 3, p. 163.

Will of JOSEPH PECK, yeoman, of Reho., dtd. 5 July 1697, prob. 5 Dec. 1705. Daus: Patience wife of Richard Bowen, Mary wife of Benjamin Hunt, Elizabeth wife of Capt. Mason & Hannah wife of Daniel Read. Sons Jathnell Peck & Samuel Peck. Witns: John Peck, William Dean & Johah Palmer [2:142/3]."
This man came to America with his father in 1638 when he was 11 years old.
John Peck was an influential individual in Rehoboth. In 1661, a group of men from Rehoboth purchased a tract of land north of Rehoboth which was to become the town of Attleboro, Massachusetts. There were 78 1/2 shares of which John Peck held one share, Joseph Peck held one share, and Thomas Willmarth held two shares.
He left a will dated 1708. It appears he was married three times, the first dying in 1667, the second in 1687, and the third died after his will was written. The first two were named Elizabeth and the last was named Rebecca.
He had 10 children, with our Ester being the second oldest.
The Ancestral File of the LDS gives Joseph as the father of Ester. This was evaluated by the Family History Library Special Projects. The will of John Peck is specific in listing an Ester Willmarth as a heir. Thus, I have rejected Joseph as the father of Ester.
Birth or Baptism date not known, but the Peck reference states he came to America when he was about 11 years old in 1638.
