a. Note:   Ester Peck was the first of this line born in America. Both her father and grandfather had been born in England and came to America in 1638.
 This woman was the daughter of John Peck who was very influential in early day Massachusetts. This connection is very clear since she is mentioned in John Peck's will as Ester Willmarth. John Peck was married three times, but Ester was of his first wife who died when Ester was about 10 years old.
 There is a difference in this information and that given in the Ancestral Files of the LDS. However, the will is conclusive evidence unless there was another Ester Peck that married a Willmarth.
 Ester Peck is the first of a long line of Pecks in our pedigree. The earliest in the line was a John Peck who was born in 1126. This is confirmed by the Medieval History Unit of the Family History Center of the LDS.
 The LDS Ancestral File gives the birth date as 17 June 1658 in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.
