Note: Through her mother, Masu Yamaguchi Kato Yasuda, Haru and her brother and sisters were heirs to the estates of the House of Kato in
Fukushima, Japan, but in 1966, family member, Shosako Kato, residing
in Japan, made claim to all of the properties of the estate. The claim
was filed in Fukushima and since it was not contested, all of the
lands and properties of the House of Kato were awarded to him on
December 16, 1966.
Haru is buried at the Kaunakakai cemetery, Kaunakakai, Molokai.
