Note: Ryoichi sailed from Japan on December 31, 1912, on the ship Chiyo Maru, and arrived in the United States, Territory of Hawaii, on January 10, 1913. After completing his education in Maui, he and his brothers moved to Molokai to farm vegetables. On May 12, 1928, he married Haru Yasuda at Lahaina, Maui, and they settled at Puuohoku, Molokai, to continue farming. In 1938, the family moved to Maunaloa, Molokai, where Ryoichi worked as mechanic for Libby-MacNeil until his retirement. After his retirement, Rioichi and Haru had a new home built in Kaunakakai, where they lived the rest of their lives. Ryoichi and Haru are buried in the Kaunakai Cemetery on Molokai.
