a. Note:   Was a Missionary Baptist preacher. His family moved to Sibley, MO on the
 Missouri River in 1858. He returned to Kentucky to get married, and then went
 back to Missouri.
  William and Nancy raised Maggie Jane Ball, daughter of Henry Lee Ball and Maggie Swafford. Maggie Jane Ball Pendarvis wrote Mable Singleton a letter . At that time Maggie was living in King City, Missouri.

  "Of these early circuit riders whose life was closely woven into the history of King City was the Rev. William G. Ball, born in KY in 1846. He was ordained as a Baptist Minister at the Frazier Church in 1869 and began his long ministry. , etc. Baptist Church history relates that the first Baptist Church building was built under his pastorate. He was loved and highly regarded in King City, where he lived until his death here in 1922.
