Note: rth east of Bruxelles. Alfred returned to Belgium in 1911 where he married Irma. They came back and farmed north east of Bruxelles for ten years. They had one child Stephanie. His brother Jules, his wife Prudencia, his brother Theophile, his wife Augustus and four children, his sister Eugenie, her husband Raymond De Pauw and their 7 children, his sister Marie, her husband Rene Gillis and their 4 children; and a brother in law Oscar Beernaerts all came to Canada. These families and their children numbered 24 in all. They sold everything and left their homes in Ursel, Belgium for Canada with the hopes of returning in a few years. When the arrived in Canada they stayed with Alfred and Irma until they had homesteads of their own. In 1921 Alfred and his family returned to live in Ursel, Belgium. Irma died in 1933 and Alfred then lived with his sister Delphine, in Belgium until his death in 1960.
