She was 91. She was born on Aug. 26, 1917 to Leonard and Marie (Kossen) DeLeeuw in Grand Rapids. She graduated from Oakdale Christian School in 1932 and then attended Ottawa Hills High School and Davis Vocational School. After working at various jobs, she married Jake Eisenga on April 16, 1943 and moved to a farm in Marion. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1995. Johanna loved reading and caring for her cats. She was an organist for more than 60 years at the Highland Christian Reformed Church, where she was a long-standing member. She had served as president of the Lydia Circle, was a member of the Farm Bureau and had served as secretary. She is survived by sons, Bruce (Freda [Gertrude]) Eisenga of Marion and Nels (Kathy) Eisenga of Grand Rapids; daughter, Jean (Marlin) Venema of Marion; nine grandchildren, Bryce (Amy) Eisenga, Bryan (Diane) Eisenga, April (Dan) Villwock, Darwin (Kim) Eisenga, Jodi (Karl) Kotimaki, Jacki (Kevin) Buckley, Mark Venema and special friend, LaDawn Penner, Shayne Eisenga, Kelley Eisenga; 17 great-grandchildren; in-laws, Ben (Pearldean) Eisenga of Jenison, John (Gertrude) Eisenga of Grandville and Agnes Johnson of Kalamazoo and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Casey, Orie, Sam, Jacob and Peter; sisters, >>>Sophia VanderLaan<<<, Nellie Scholten, Wilhelmina Kopp and Betty Logan; step-brothers, Henry Scholten and Dick Scholten and step-sisters, Marie Dykema, Bertha VanderPloeg, Lema Tanis, Henrietta Leese and Gertrude DeHaan.
