Note: VANDERMARK Richard "Van" E. Vandermark Retired MSGT USAF, Retired Civil Service entered eternal peace on April 3, 2010. Born in Sycamore, Kansas, 07-26-1935. Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Viola "Neil" Jeanell Vandermark, 2 infant sons, and son Richard E, Jr.; parents, Thomas E. Vandermark and Etta B. Graham; sisters, Barbara Kuschell and Dolores Viglicky; Survivors sons, Francis "Frank" J. Jesse (Linda) and Matthew L.Vandermark; Grandsons, Jay, Kenneth, Richard, & Anthony Jesse; 5 great-grand children, Brother-in-law Ronald Kuschell, Elwood, Kansas; 3 nephews and numerous dear friends. Van served in the Air Force Police, Training Instructor; tours in Japan, Korea, Germany, Thailand, Lackland AFB and other areas. Van was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the American Legion. SERVICES: Memorial services at Valley Hi First Baptist Church, 04-13-2010 10:30 am at 6623 SW Loop 410 San Antonio, TX 78227. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Valley Hi First Baptist Church. Immediately following the Memorial service a gathering of family and friends will be held at the F.O.E. #70 2220 Hunt Lane, San Antonio, and TX 78227.
