a. Note:   Christine Toporowski was the Manager for the 1955 and also the 1956 Selfridge Air Force Base Women's softball team located in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. In order to participate in the World-Wide Softball Tournament, Selfride had to win their Great Lakes Conference. Selfridge participated in the world-wide tournament both of these years. In 1955, the tournament was located at Eglin Air Force Base in Pensacola, Florida. In 1956, it was held at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul, Illinois. Selfridge woon the coveted world-wide tournament in 1956 at Chanute.
