WV # Note: William Johnson was born in 1838 in Floyd County Kentucky. He served in the civil war in the 7th WV Cavalry Company F. He enlisted 3/15/1864 at Sissonville, WV. On his enlistment it states that the soldier has Blue eyes, Dark Hair, Dark complexion, is 6 feet 3 inches high. Recruiting officer was Jacob Webb Lt. Co. H 7th regiment of WV Cav. Volunteers. He was mustered in Company F 7th Regiment of WV Cavalry Volunteers, on the 16th day of May, 1864 at Charleston WV. Mustering officer looks like H.C. Wheeler. William died 6/3/1873 in Webster Co. On their certificate, he states that he is a widower. It wasn't a very nice thing for him to do, but it happened and Emmaline got a military pension when he died.Some researchers believe that Bluford was the son of Barnabas. I spent many hours researching this but found no proof. We probably need to look at some wills.
