a. Note:   July 2002; Dennis E. Jones, Richlands, NC; I recently discovered your 5 year-old query re. the William Harrison fami ly of Jones Co, NC. I am a descendant of Elizabeth Harrison & Peter Andre ws. Elizabeth was the oldest sister of William, and the daughter of Jo hn and Elizabeth Harrison. According to Bible Records found in the N.C.Sta te Archives in Raleigh, she was born 24 Feb. 1791 and died 19 March 186 2; she is buried in the old Andrews family cemetery, which my family & I c lean yearly in Jones Co. I had found little info (until your query) on yo ur William, except his marriage to Mary Elizabeth McDaniel, the daught er of John & Mary Catherine Wood McDaniel. I was delighted to see that Wil liam & my Elizabeth's mother had moved with William's family to Missour i. Does she have a grave marker in Macon Co, Missouri? (Ironically, my wi fe and I passed through Missouri two weeks ago on our return trip from t he west coast.) Would appreciate the opportunity to exchange info with you on the Jones C o, NC families, if you desire. I live only ten miles from Jones Co, and v isit there frequently.
