 married Dorcas Jane Myers daughter of James and Deborah (McDole) Myers. James
 Myers was born Sept. 1830 in Licking Co. OH, son of Daniel and Dorcas (Critten) Myers.
 Daniel Myers a native of Licking County was born in 1809, he was the son of George
 Myers a native of Virginia. George was of German descent and he married Elizabeth Horn,
 she was of Irish descent. George and Elizabeth reared a family twelve children. Daniel's
 wife Dorcas was a daughter of James and Elizabeth (Johnson) Critten. Her father was a
 native of Virginia, of Irish descent and he held a commission in the war of 1812. James
 Myers was reared a farmer, having been brought to Putnam County OH at the age of six.
 James was united in marriage Nov. 22, 1855 to Deborah McDole. Deborah was the
 daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth (Stewart) McDole, she was b. June 29, 1835 in Beaver
 Co. PA. James and Deborah Myers were parents of thirteen children.
 James M. Vandemark and Dorcas Jane Myers were married about 1881 and settled
 on a farm northwest of Vaughsville, Ohio. Misfortune came to James as it did his father.
 he was kicked in the head by a horse and died within a few hours. The Ottawa News
 carried the following: The funeral of J.M. Vandemark who was killed by his horse kicking
 him on the 21st of January 1894, was largely attended. The funeral was preached by Rev.
 Noffsinger, who was assisted by Rev. McCloud at the Ottawa River Church. Mr.
 Vandemark was in the prime of life being 35 years of age and was a hard working man, a
 good and useful citizen and will be greatly missed in this neighborhood. He leaves a wife
 and four small children. James was buried in the Ottawa River Cemetery.
 Four years after the death of James, Dorcas Jane married James Teegarden to this
 union two sons were born; Lewis b. 1899 and Joseph b. 1903. Dorcas died July 8, 1916
 and is buried beside James in the Ottawa River Cemetery.
