  GLENN VAN FOSSEN:
  Glenn Van Fossen, 78, of 3675 Ninth St., Goodview, Winona, Minn., formerly of New Philadelphia, Ohio and Anahiem, Calf., died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, at the C&R Unit of Community Memorial Hospital in Winona. Glenn was born Feb. 26, 1923, in Strasburg, Ohio, to Ralph M. and Florence M. (Cooper) Van Fossen. He married Martha Marie Walters Oct. 10, 1943, in Hawthorne, Nevada. Glenn began working for the Warner and Swasey Co. in 1950 and retired in 1975. He also worked at Fiberite for eight years. Glenn served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
  He is survived by his loving wife, Martha; a daughter, Marsha (Thomas) Weaver of Largo, Fla.; sons, Hal (Mary) Van Fossen of Eau Claire, Wis., and Michael Van Fossen of Durham, N.C.; a granddaughter, Sallie Jayne Weaver of Largo, Fla.; two grandsons, Benjamin and Bradley Van Fossen of Eau Claire, Wis.; and a sister, Helen Helphrey of Newark, Ohio. Glenn leaves behind many good friends, particularly Robert Newsome of Durham, NC, and Joe (Doris) Howlett and Sheridan Wolfe, both of Winona, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elsie Wachaya.
  Memorial services for Glenn will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at the Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, 1476 W. Broadway, Winona, with the Rev. Tony Hansen of Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be directed to the C&R Unit of Community Memorial Hospital or to Winona County Home Health Care. American Legion Post 9 will conduct a flag presentation following the memorial service.
