Note: MacNEIL, Alexander Sutherland - 76, 4 Cable St., Sydney Mines, died January 2, 1994, (sun)in Northside General Hospital, North Sydney. Born in Big Bank, Boulardarie, Victoria County, he was a son of both of the late Murdock and Bessie (MacDonald) MacNeil. He was a member of Carman United Church, Sydney Mines. He was employed as a carpenter, at Prince mine until his retirement in 1982. He is survived by four daughters, Sandra (Mrs. William Newman), North Sydney: Elizabeth (Mrs. George Barber), Brampton, Ont.; Heather (Mrs. Douglas Mills), Regina, Sask.; Beverly Ann (Mrs. Joseph Blanchard), Sydney Mines, with whom he resided; sister, Christine MacAulay, North Sydney; a number of nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren.; He was predeceased by his wife, the former Marguerite Simms; two brothers. Jack, Phillip. Visitation. will be 2-4. 7-9 p.m. today in Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, Sydney Mines, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Karen Ralph officiating.
