a. Note:   Funeral services for Howard Rex REED, 55, will be conducted this afternoon at the Barton Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Hoyt HUDDLESTON, assisted by Rev. J.C. STEWART of Watertown and Rev. Edgar ESKRIDGE of Florida. Mr. REED died at his home Wednesday morning after an illness of several years. He is survived by his wife (not named); one niece, Miss Madelyn MARTIN who resides in the Reed home; his mother, Mrs. J.S. REED of Lebanon; and five brothers: Author, Henry, Tom and Chester REED, all of Lebanon, and Frank Reed of Alabama; three sisters: Mrs. Ida Myrtle VANHOOK, Mrs. Goldie VANHOOK, and Mrs. Kate LIGON, all of Lebanon. Burial will be in Barton Creek Cemetery with Ligon & Son in charge.
