Title: Personal correspondence, Recipient: William J. Martin, Author Address: NC
Page: 21 Mar 2004, Delores Martin-Ellis wrote to WJ Martin: Which reminds me.....Charlie and I both said whatever is to be will be and there is some stuff we will have no control over. But no matter what, we just loved today together. I had told him I was going to be on the computer for a bit doing something for Wauneta and then let him know you and I were corresponding pretty good along the way and he seemed to feel even tho he is not involved it is a great idea to do something for a family member that will definitely be appreciated and well received. I said to him, yep, that's Denver Bill. Just like his daddy....always looking out for the old folks. I respect your dad so much for being a true attached family member. My dad and my brother had (have) other approaches that don't zink with my emotions. I know there was no way I could change that then or now. I truly believe it a great honor to have been following you and Linda along these trails because it has taught me so much about love and devotion and tolerance of who I am and who all of they am. I know your dad was as tempermental as was my dad. But somewhere along the line, your dad was definitely the stronger man of the two. I really enjoy learning about personalities and trying to figure folks out (including me). I'm happy I finally learned in life it is o.k. to be yourself and not a carbon copy of someone else or whatever you learned in school or church or wherever you were along the line others tell you what ya should be.
