Bill, this will mean something to you definitely. Chloe (Ray and Unca Bill's first cousin) a registered nurse, drove by car Wilma and Ray to the Methodist Hospital downtown Fort Wayne, I was 3 1/2 years old. I got to see baby brother when the nurse bent over with him there in the nursery hallway. She asked me if I thought of a name for him and I immediately replied, Ben Bernie. All of the front desk nurses laughed. My dad's brother, Bill Martin (Unca Bill) drove the new babe and parents back home after a week; and Unca carried my mother up the steps to the front door that opened into the living room. There he laid her on the couch, propped a pillow for her head and reached down and pulled her hose upward from the toes and we all laughed, included Grandma Mary Martin with whom me and my parents lived with at 606 W. 4th Street. Feb 18th
1932 was Rodger's birth date; and 1st cousin Bill Martin, son of Willam David and Gladys Hunt-Martin came along to begin the new Martin Generation.
