Note:   N221 “Just how many vessels William Randall designed is not known...By 1854 he had attained some reputation as a designer...It is quite likely that he cut the models for all the ships he built for W.V. Moses & Sons. In 1860 he worked on two ships for Oliver Moses, the John Carver built by Benjamin Small and the H.V. Baxter by Dexter Coombs. It is possible that William Randall lofted the lines and made the molds for the Baxter.”
