a. Note:   y of her being disinherited because of it but Bismark's laws later repealed the disinheritance. Aunt Clara writes that she came into some money when her parents died so the 4 sons were well educated and became professor of the gymnasium which is equal to a college professor in the USA. She gave each of her children $1500 as a wedding present.
  Unfortunately, I am not positive that Aunt Clara's story was about Johann Christoph Stein or another family member. The timing seems wrong if it was Bismark's laws. His son that Aunt Clara called "August" may be a nickname for one of the other sons. His daughter Barbara is probably Margaretha Barbara.
Note:   of Hohebach. Moved to Hollenbach. According to Aunt Clara Diekmann, he was a piano teacher. His in-laws were very unhappy about the marriage since he was far below their status. I remember a stor
