  June Beeler: After Jennie developed Parkinsons she lived upstairs in the house on Seminary while the Beelers lived downstairs. June Beeler remembers being told to take some ice cream up to her. Her dad in jest told her to be sure to run. She did. And tripped and the ice cream went flying in the front stairwell. June Beeler bought out the shares in the house that were left to the other Gardners and is currently restoring it. She has registered it as an historical site (The EARL HOUSE) and has collected quite a bit of memorabilia. Portraits of Gardners and Ewings, etc. Currently residing in Los Gatos, June hopes to live in it the Earl House once the work is completed ("despite the ghost")

  ALAMEDA--Jennie Gardner of St. Paul's Towers in Oakland, and a native of Napa, died here Wednesday at the age of 86 after a long illness. A graduate of University of California in 1913, she received her Masters Degree from Columbia University in New York.
 She is survived by a brother, William I. Gardner of Moraga, and by two sisters, Mrs. Hubert (Ruth) Sandner of Berkeley and Mrs. Mary Allison Beeler of Napa. Several nieces and nephews also survive. At her request, no funeral services will be held. McNary and Morgan Chapel of Berkeley is handling the arrangements.
