Mary Ellen Bird-Ealy
Longtime employee of McGuffey School District
Mary Ellen Bird-Ealy, 57, of Washington, died at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, in Donnell House, Washington, following a seven-year illness.
She was born June 4, 1947, in Washington, a daughter of the late John D. and Hannah E. Ryan Bird.
She had been employed by McGuffey School District for 24 years, retiring because of failing health.
She attended Fairmount United Methodist Church in East Finley Township and enjoyed cooking.
She was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School.
On February 16, 1995, she married William L. Ealy, who died May 8, 2003.
Surviving are two brothers, John R. Bird of Claysville and Walter R. Bird of Washington; a sister, Patricia Robertson of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, J. Ronald Bird and Charles B. Bird.
