Note: RAY D. SPROWLS Ray D. Sprowls, 46, of West Finley R.D.2, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 1977, in the Oakland VA Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a lingering illness. He was born June 15, 1931 in West Finley Twp., where he lived all his life. His parents were Oakey E. and Alma Raymer Sprowls. He attended Windy Gap United Presbyterian Church. He was a welder who worked on various pipelines. In 1969 he retired because of ill health. He was a member of Local 798, Tulsa, Okla. A veteran of the Korean War, he served as a corporal with the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Wilma Amos Sprowls, a son, Larry, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Carol) Baker of West Finley R.D.2, Miss Frances Jean Sprowls and Miss Deborah K. Sprowls, both at home; one granddaughter; and three sisters, Mrs. Glenn (June) Amos of West Finley, Mrs. John (Jane) Salsberry of Linesville and Mrs. George (Betty) Porter of Elm Grove, WVA.
