a. Note:   N1322 Antony Wallace-Dunlop was the 7th. son of Sir John Dunlop of Dunlop and of Frances Anna Wallace of Craigie, daughter of Sir Thomas Wallace, 16th. of Craigie and 5th. Baronet and of Eleanora Agnew, daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Agnew of Lochryan and of Agnes Kennedy of Kirkhill, Dunure, Bargany and Dalquharran, daughter of Sir Thomas Kennedy of Kirkhill, Dunure, Bargany and Dalquharran, Lord Provost of Edinburgh during the reign of King James VII, and of Agnes Haldane.
  He went to sea in 1787 aged 12. He was in the merchant navy and later in the Royal Navy. He bought a small estate on the Isle of Man, which he called "Elerslie". Sadly, he committed suicide in an Edinburgh Hotel on 29 June 1828, after falling into financial difficulties and into litigation.
