Note: Nora, Hattie's mother, died at age 24 in 1907 leaving three children, Hazel 5 yrs.old, Hattie 3 yrs.old and George 2 yrs.old.
Hattie and George were raised by James and Margaret (Robinson) Tudehope and
legally adopted in 1946.
Hazel lived with Hugh and Sadie Parry, as a teenager.
James Tudehope and Sadie Parry were brother and sister.
Hazel remembers Hattie having a pet pig. Hazel's daughter remembers spending a lot of time
with the Elder family and was close to her cousins. She remembers snaping beans, gathering eggs,
playing paper dolls with her cousin and catching fireflies
Hattie and husband, Robert (Bob) are buried in the Mt. Sidney cemetary in Linwood, Ks.
This plot of land, 2.23 acres was donated as a cemetary by Robert Elder (uncle) when his son
Sidney died of pneumonia in 1895 at age 16.
