Note: John was a graduate of Oregon City, High School in 1970. John was a deisel mechanic and truck rebuilder. John was diagnosed with throat cancer 17 Nov. 1998.
He had surgery, radiology, chemotheraphy, more surgery, I.V's for nourishmant, esophagus tube to help him breathe, last of all a stomach tube to feed him through, through out the next year. He and his wife enjoyed drag racing and mud bogging.
He played the guitar and piano by ear, making up his own melodies.
John realized a life long desire to hunt in Alaska for bear,with his wife and son.
They have two different large family reunions each year, many attend from out of state.
John Sr. funeral was in Portland, Or. He was cremated.
John's grandfather is Howard Franklin Potter.
His greatgrandfather isRobert Wallace Potter.
