In 1860 Young lived with his parents in Hastings, Marshan Twp, Dakota Co, MN. He was listed as born in Ireland, age 16, a farm laborer. In 1880 he was listed as 37 and Rebecca (born in Canada) as 32 living in Stanton, Goodhue Co, MN. Children: Melinda 8, John E. 7, Margaret J 5 all born in MN. In 1900 the family was still in Stanton. The children are all single: Milly age 28, John age 27 Maggy age 25. In 1910 Young and Rebecca were living in Stanton with their daughter Maggie Elexander who is married, age 34 with no children. Young age 68 and Rebecca age 64 have been married 39 yrs. In 1920 Young age 77 and Rebecca age 71 werein Stanton.
