1. Title:   1920 United States Census
2. Title:   Death Certificate of Violena Vargas

Notes
a. Note:   ' on her death certificate. This has been mistranscribed as 'Vroalina' on the Texas Death Index.
Most of Violena's information was found on her death certificate, which almost certainly belongs to her, although there is one troubling inconsistency. The document lists her mother as Felicitas Torres. It gives her DOB as 1907, which is consistent with DOB on the 1920 census. Her brother, Patricio, is the informant. She was residing in Steeles Store, Brazos Co., TX along with the rest of the family at that time. And she was laid-to-rest in Mumford Cemetery, along with her mother. The odd thing is that Patricio lists her father's first name as 'Abram.' This is the first time it has ever appeared this way. Possible that it was his real first name, or a nickname, but further research required. Overall, the evidence seems clear that the certificate is referring to Violena Vargas, daughter of Celestino Vargas and Felicita Torres.
Note:   Spelling of first name remains in question. Brother Patricio appears to spell it 'Vioalina
