AMAYA, BLAZA
Blaza Amaya formerly of Corpus Christi, Tx, passed away November 26, 2009 in Garland, Tx at the age of 93. She was born February 3, 1916 in Laredo, Tx. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Inez Amaya; son, Roberto Amaya and wife, Susana; daughters, Olivia Barraz and husband, Manuel, and Rita Amaya; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and sister, Luisa Martinez. Blaza was preceded in death by her grandsons, Bobby and John Amaya, and Manuel Barraz III. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2009 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 950 Trails Parkway, Garland, Tx. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Williams Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Garland Memorial Park.
