Note: From THE CORPUS CHRISTI CALLER, June 24, 1978: JOE C. SALINAS Joe C. Salinas, 57, of 925 Coral, died yesterday in a local hospital after a short illness. A longtime resident of Corpus Christi, he served with the 101st Airborne Div. in Normandy during World War II. He graduated from Durham Business College in 1950, and established the Joe C. Salinas Reality Co. here. He was vice president of Memorial Funeral Home Services Inc. He was a member of LULAC Council No. 1, and trustee of the LULAC West Park Village Apartment. He was past vice president of Operation SER and a former member of the G. I. Forum. Surviving are his wife, Berta; four sons, Orlando, Eli, Adrian and Dr. Joe Arial Salinas, all of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Gregory and Mrs. Henry Rosales, both of Corpus Christi, and Mrs. Kathleen Colunga of El Centro, Calif.; two brothers, Eustacio Salinas of West Covina, Calif. and Margarito Salinas of Bueno Park, Calif., and one grandchild.
