  GUADALUPE R. VARGAS
  Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saints. Psalm 116:15 Beloved wife, mother and grandmother Guadalupe R. Vargas was called to God's presence August 30, 2007. She was born July 5, 1927 in Hondo, TX. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sylvia V. Saldivar. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Celestino T. Vargas; sister, Josefina Vega; sons, Jose A. Vargas and wife Sussannah, Celestino R. Vargas III and wife Juana, Elias F. Vargas and wife Elena, Abel Vargas and wife Sylvia, Rene J. Vargas and wife Brenda; daughters, Noemi G. Bernal and husband George, Linda V. Hernandez and husband Armando. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Her strong faith and faithfulness will always be remembered. She left us the best inheritance to serve and seek the Lord and left great example of a prayer warrior, 2 Timothy 4:7. I have fought the good fight, I have finis! hed the race, I have kept the faith. A visitation will begin 5:00 pm Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm Sunday, September 2, 2007 officiated by Reverend Felipe MontaƱez. A Chapel Service will begin at 9:00 am Monday, September 3, 2007. Interment to follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Services under the direction of Trevino Cupples Funeral Home.
