 The couple appears to have moved to Ontario, Canada - possibly in the area of West Osgood, early in their marriage, as many of their children were born there.
 In 1844 The family moved from Brookdale to Russell in St. Lawrence Co., but by 1850, Samuel and Phoebe were back in Stockholm, living with their son, Samuel B. Grandy and his family.
