Life history written by family members, titled ROBERT HALL, SR. William and his family moved to Marion, Marion Co., Oregon and are found there on the 1920 census. He worked on the Union Pacific Railroad in Oregon as a carpenter. William and Annie were married in the town of Eagle Rock, Idaho which has since been re-named Idaho Falls, Idaho. Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Tuesday, 4 Dec 1928, p. 2: William Hall passed away at the home of his son, John W. Hall, three and one-half miles northeast of Gold Hill, December 3, 1928. Mr. Hall has made his home with his son for the past two years, coming in Gold Hill from Marion, Ore. Mr. Hall was born September 8, 1851, in Centerville, Pa., and came to Oregon in 1[-?-]2. On August 30, 1882, Anna Tresham was married to William Hall in Iowa, and to this union were born eight children, five of whom survive him, one son and four daughters, John W. Hall of Gold Hill, Ore., Mrs. M. O. Pearson of Turner, Ore., Mrs. Robert LaRue of Milton, Ore., Mrs. John Powell of Corvallis, Ore., and Ruth Hall of Milton, Ore. The body will be transferred to Salem, Ore. and the funeral services and interment will take place in Marion, Ore., Thursday, December 6. Perl Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Cause of death: cerebral hemorrhage. Cemetery records show William Hall, b. 8 Sep 1851, d. 13 Dec 1929 on his marker with Anna Hall; b. PA , d.
