Notes
a. Continued:   On the 1880 Census for Salt Creek, Tama, Iowa, Harry [E. Harvey on family records], age 22, born in Iowa and working as a harness maker. His father was born in Maryland and his mother in Ohio. He is living with his widowed mother.
The 1895 Iowa census lists E. Harvey as "Harry E." Boyer age 35, born in Mahaska County, Iowa and living in Chelsea, Tama county, Iowa at the time of this state census. His wife, Susan A. Boyer is shown as age 34 and a native of Tama county. Children listed in the census are George A., age 11, Jessie M, age 5, Lucy A. age 1. Beatrice was born later that year, but Edith and Mazie are noteably absent, possibly indicating that they probably died in early childhood.
On the 1920 Census for Cedar Rapids, Linn, Iowa, Harvey, wife Susie and widowed son George A Boyer are living in Cedar Rapids. The 1930 Census for the same area shows the parents running a boarding house and George working as a barber.
