Notes
a. Note:   No burial has been located for her in Delaware Co., Ohio as yet (11-18-01) However, on the settlement of her husband's estate on 29 July 1844, E.R. Winans and W.W. Winans are named as receiving payments in the letters of administration. These are possible relatives. Her name is given as Phebe WINES on her marriage record, First Presbyterian Church, Caldwell, Essex, New Jersey, FHL film # 88797 item 2. Marriage date: 1 Nov 1795. This was later misread as WINCE and interpreted as WINANS, due to her son Alfred having a middle name of Winans. But records of the area show many WINES families living there. Abraham and Phebe were married by Rev. Stephen Grover. FHL film # 0888797.
Note: Caldwell was first called "Horseneck". There are no other Wines/Winans names noted in this record, but many Cranes.
