a. Note:   !1. St. Paul's Par. Recs., Stafford, VA Probably son of John Powell of Orange County, Virginia who died in Culpeper County with will dated 1763, probated 1766 and wife Ann who survived him. A son William mentioned in his will (Will Book B p 140 shows estate settlement)
  According to Lucas, a William Powell made inventory of the estate of John Terrell in 1790 with no other information available.
  There is also a Willliam Powell christened 1716 in St. Paul's Parish (AF) son of William and Amy Powell. Father said to be from New Jersey and Pennsylvania which seems improbable (CHECK LUCAS on this) Lucas does not seem to have included this family in his research
