a. Note:   d her mother in Pennsylvania. Her mother was born in Ohio, however.
  1.Age and place of birth from census records. Land records indicate the family lived in Miami County, Ohio until about 1854. The 1880 census locates "Elizabeth" along with her husband, Havey Boswell and 7 children in Iowa, Benton, Iowa. It gives her age as 42, which would make her birth year 1838. and her place of birth as Ohio. She reported that her father was born in Maryland and her mother in Pennsylvania.
 It is possible that she was fudging a couple of years on her age, as the 1850 census has her born in 1836.
