Notes
a. Continued:   !1. Father's obituary from TROY OHIO TIMES, 3 Nov 1858.
 2. Transcript copy of Jonathan Boyier (Boyer)'s death certificate, Miami Co., Ohio Probate file #3164. Both names "Mary" and "Polly" are listed. However, the death certificate says Polly md. Deahl (Deel, Deal, Dill). The marriage record says Mary Boyer married Philip C. Deal (1840 Census has "G", not "C"). There is reason to believe that Mary and Polly are the same person.
Mary was stated to be 44 years of age on the 1850 census of Bethel Twp., Miami Co., Ohio and living in her father's household with her 19 year old daughter, Caroline. Mary appears to be widowed at that time. Her father's death certificate and the obituary state that in 1858, she is living in Pike County, Illinois as is her brother Joseph.
1860 Census for Atlas Twp, Pike County, Illinois,pg. 873, Mary is living with her daughter Sarah's family and her brother Joseph. Son-in-law David Winan is head of household. Her age is given as 53 on 29 July 1860 when the census was taken and place of birth is stated to be Maryland. [Ancestry.com Images Online, image 629, Pike County, Illinois, ]
