a. Note:   n Jan 1826, NY, age 74" and then at her daugher Sarah's home were she stated she was "born Jan 1828, Connecticut, age 72, widow". She did not recall where her father was born, but gave her mother's birthplace as New York. On the 1880 census she stated her age as 47, making her birth year 1833, but the place continued to be Connecticut. Her parents were both said to be born in New York.
