The reserach that we have done so far indicates that Sarah is the daughter of John Marion and Leona Adaline (Newton) Kellum. We have traced Sarah from North Carolina to Texas. She was married 3 times. The first marriage was to F A Connor 10 april 1878 in Madison County, Texas. She is listed on the 1880 census as the head of the household in Madison County, Texas. As a matter of fact, she is enumerated on the same page as her parents, John and Leona. I have not been able to find a burial for F A Connor. Sarah's second marriage is to Marvel A Ford 27 September 1881 in Madison County, Texas. We assume that Sarah and Marvel divorced, separated or something because Sallie is on the 1900 census in Ellis County, Texas with Robert H Bradley and the census states that she and Robert had been married 9 years. This would mean that they married about 1908 or 1909 in Texas. By 1910 Sallie and Robert are in Fitzhugh, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. Sallie is not on the 1920 census and Robert is listed as a widow, so we assume that she died before 1920. Sallie and Robert had two children, Curtis and Ella. In 1917 I found Curtis' WWI Draft Registration and he lists his nearest relative as H Kellum in Commerce, Texas. Sallie had one child by Marvel A Ford, Art George Ford. In 1917 on his WWI Draft Registration he lists his nearest relative as John Kellum in Honey Grove, Texas (this is in Fannin County). Because these two sons did not list their mother as their nearest relative I believe that Sallie died between 1910 1917, but I can not find a burial. I feel she would have died in Pontotoc County. Art George's obit does not mention his mother. I haven't found the marriage for Ella, Curtis' sister (Art George's half-sister). I am wondering if you have found any information on Sallie. I has taken me a week to finally find Sallie's maiden name and the first and last marriage. What I started with was that Art George Ford's mother was Sallie Kellum and that he had a sister named Viola Jinks. As it turns out, Viola was a step-sister. She was the daughter of Robert H Bradley and his first wife. Any help you might give regarding Sallie's death would be greatly appreciated. I will be anxious to hear from you.
