!NOTE: At the Wheat group on Yahoo part of a posting that was posted on Thu Dec 7, 2006 was the following: Isabell C. Wheat Belt who probably died 12/11/1942 in Lampasas County. I will be working to find death certificates of these Wheats.
For those of you not familiar with the Belts, two of the children of Samuel and Helen Martha Belt marry children of Joseph Wheat, b. 1815, AL, and the son of Samuel Wheat and his wife Cynthia A. Stephenson Wheat after the Belts move from Tyler County to Milam/Bell County--see below. Ronnie Bishop has also found the Belts in 1835 at <http://www.rootsweb.com/~txgenweb/restx.htm> . Ronnie then went to Vol. 3, Census Report of Texas, 1835, and then to the Census Report of Jasper . Then, use "Edit" on your toolbar and then "Find" and type in "Belt." These early census reports are very interesting, and I had not seen them before. Thanks, Ronnie!
