  Marion Turner <Bestyear94@aol.com> on the Internet led me to think that my grandmother, Anna Margaret, was married to John Hotz or Hatz before she married Jacob Shoemaker. However, their marriage date of 1765 shows that this Ann Margaret Shoemaker is not my grandmother. My grandmother was married to Jacob Schumacher in 1759 and he died by 1764. My Anna Margaret married George Diehl 24 Feb 1765, which is well documented, and moved to New Jersey by 1771. She could not have married John Hotz in 1765.
