Note: Carrie Yelverton Flowers and Husband J Gaston Flowers in several deeds from Johnston County divested her interest in her mother's land. These deeds are Wayne County Deed book 61 page 701, book 65 page 280, 281 and book 78 page 335. She had to wait until 1892 at age 21 according to law to do so, mentioned in the deeds are Briery branch, Fremont road, and the corner of the "heirs of Susanah Yelverton" (formerly Hoskins, granddaughter of William and Julia Dickinson that married Jesse Yelverton) Jesse and Susan(nah) being Carrie's parents, Susannah dying about the time Carrie was born. Gaston and Carrie had 8 children the oldest being Lillie Flowers who married C Hale (Haley) Radford. Gaston and Carrie's home was still standing as of a few years ago (2006) it is just off Princeton Kenly road on Hoss road.
