a. Note:   Synthia's Uncle Bill told her that she needed to have the Holy Ghost. She told him that she didn't know anything about the Holy Ghost. They went to church in their wagon, and while in the church meeting. Synthia would go out in the Spirit. Afterwards, they would have to load her up in the wagon and carry her home.  Synthia Stephens was a fine Christian woman. William Bill's girls from his first marriage: Jessie, Dona, and Lela all said that Synthia was a wonderful stepmother and they loved her as their own. Many people down where Synthia lived told Eddie that his daughter Shirley looked just like Synthia Stephens.
