 "Mrs. Harriet Vass, wife of Mr. Thomas Vass, formerly of the Lindside community, this county, passed into eternal life at the home of her son, Mr. Geo. A. Vass, near Wolf Creek, this county, last Monday, July 7, 1924. About five week ago she was stricken with ----- following bllod poisoning and -- ---- ------- her physical ---- -----. Her age was 76 years, 5 months and 22 days. Mrs. Vass was a Miss Campbell before marriage. She was a Christian woman and --- ----- respect ---- all who knew her. From her girlhood she was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church (New Order) and her life was full of the ----- --- ----. Some years ago Mr. Vass sold jod farms near Lindside and he and his wife followed their son George to Wolf Creek district. Surviving Mrs. Vass are her husband: three sons, Geo. A., William L. of Richwood, W. Va., and Walter Vass of Kansas City, Mo.; and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Weikle of Alderson, and Mrs. Anna Weikle of Greenville. All were present at the ----- except Walter. The body of the deceased lady was taken to the Swope graveyard, between Rock Camp and Lindside, and there committed to earth last Tuseday afternoon. Rev. G. W. Bradley conducting the funeral services.
