Whereas, Philip Vincent Vass at his death was seized of a certain tract of 576 a. in Spts. Co. and dying intestate sd. tract descended to his son John Vass, his eldest son and heir, who sometime afterward died intestate and without issue, by which the same descended to the sd. Rice Vass, as elder brother and heir of the sd. John Vass, and since the sd. Rice Vass has agreed to sell part of the sd. tract to sd. Stubblefield, the sd. Mary Vass, being entitled to dower in the sd. tract, joins in the deed, etc. For the sum of �45 3s. curr. 150 a. of the afsd. tract, etc. Witnesses, Wm. Heslop, Thos. Towles, Harry Stubblefield, Jno. Carthrae, O. Towles, Robt. Stubblefield, Lewis Young, Leonard Young. Novr. 20, 1772.
