On discharge (9.3.69): aged 40, fair complexion, hazel eyes, light brown hair; to live Deptford London. Served N America 1y 11m, Crimea 1y 6m, E Indies 10y 1m. Had a bad patch in 61-4 when he was in and out of the cells, but on disch. conduct v good with 2 good conduct badges. Had Crimea Medal with clasp for Sebastapol and the Turkish Crimea Medal. Could not read or write. Admitted an in-pensioner of the Chelsea Hospital on 1.7.83 and died there on 24.12.1903.
