Note: MANSOUR, Betty Jean - Of Flint, age 79, died Friday, August 25, 2006 at her residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4133 Calkins Road in Flint. Entombment at
New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church or Genesys Cancer Center. Visitation 2-7PM Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. An incense service will be held at 7PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Mansour will be at the church from 9AM Tuesday until the time of the Mass. Betty was born in Flint, Michigan on April 15, 1927, the daughter of Walter W. and Gertrude Marie (Bonter) Smith.
She graduated from Lapeer High School in 1944 and then went to Tarrant Business Machine. Betty was employed by A & P for 7 years and then went to Felt and Tarrant Business Machines. She was then hired by Mansours Market in January, 1951 in the office and spent the rest of her life helping in the family business. Surviving are 6 children, Gary (Carolyn), Robert, Thomas (Laura), Paul, Lisa (Mark) and David (Lisa); like a son, Richard; grandchildren, Kristen (Tim), Jill (Matt), Greg (Kari), Bethany, Carolyn, Melissa, Madison, Jack, Samuel, Mark and Nicole; 2 great-grandchildren, Jacob and Madelyn; sister, Florence Reinhardt; brothers, Walter W. (Janet) Smith, III and William Lewis (Marie) Smith; brother-in-law, Alfred (Beverly) Mansour; sisters-in-law, Nira (Emil) Sabty and Jeanette (Joe) Mansour-Green; many nephews, nieces, close friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore P. Mansour, on October 13, 2003.
