Note: Born 20 Dec 1785 according to Rose Gen. or 31 July 1782 per pension papers. 2 i. Achsah2 Rose (#6816) was born in Connecticut 20 DEC 1785. Achsah died MAY 1880 in Marion County, Iowa, at age 94. She married Simeon King 13 OCT 1813 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. (Simeon King is #7892.) Simeon was born 14 JUN 1757 in Montague, Franklin County, Massachusetts. Simeon was the son of Simeon King and Experience Richardson. He married Sarah Paine 8 AUG 1780 in Ashfield,Franklin,Mass.. Simeon died 23 JUN 1844 in Springfield Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, at age 87. His body was interred JUN 1844 in King Hill Cemetery, Sullivan Town, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Simeon was listed as the head of a family on the 1820 Census in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Simeon was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 Census in Springfield Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Simeon was in Springfield with daughter Fidelia this year and her husband. Clara Sue KING is source of Simeon's ancestry and then further information in LDS Ancestral File. Simeon was in the Revolutionary War. He was a private in the company of Samuel Bartlett under Col. James Wesson where he served two years with the Massachusetts troops. He re-enlisted in Aug. 1780 and served another two years in Col Henry Jackson's Massachusetts regiment. He was present in the battles of Stillwater and Monmouth. He removed to Tioga County prior to 1819 and then to Springfield in Bradford County where he lived until his death.
